'Rare Case' No 4873258921586

Adam Birkby, for Hoynes, said she now accepts full responsibility and wants to make “sincere apologies” to both implicated drivers and to the police.
Mr Birkby pointed to a psychiatric report which stated that her false allegations may have been an unconscious management of a depressive illness from which she suffered since a relationship break-up in 2018.
“Ultimately, it’s been a tragedy for all concerned, particularly the two men,” added Mr Birkby.
Jailing her for 20-months, Judge James Adkin said much effort went in to proving her “wicked complaint” was, “ a complete fabrication”, impacting heavily on both men suspected and on policing resources.
Yeah, it's nice you think of police resources, but if they didn't spend so much time investigating obviously nonsense cases, maybe it wouldn't cost so much?

Never known an honest one; all women are scheming, imaginative fabricators and actresses.

Those feigning outrage at the mere suggestion of their dishonesty being the worst.

In a case like this the complainant should lose anonymity and be subject to the same penalty that the man would have received if found guilty. It is not the case that it would be a miscarriage of justice: this woman conspired to damage a man, and it is not the same as a case that is not proved beyond reasonable doubt.

A fair and just punishment for a heinous crime.

Such an emotionally unstable woman is unfit for the job she is doing.
Promote her immediately.

The arrested taxi driver will have the fact of being arrested for rape come up on his Vetting & Barring Agency Enhanced Disclosure for years to come.

Just as well the case was last year or Hoynes would plead mitigation "as a self-indetifyin Woman of Color I is tromatized by the brutal slorter of thingey yeah floyd wotsit so anything less than a walk is racist innit.

Hope the two blokes sue the tits off her

They might try that Robert the biker but you can bet she has nothing. You can't get blood out of a stone and the way lawyers charge it can be very expensive trying.

Totally agree!

"Hope the two blokes sue the tits off her"

As anon points out, they won't get anyone to take their case on a 'no win no fee'...
