Don't joke! As selfish, arrogant and stupid these perpetrators are, they were probably still ordered to pay a "victim surcharge". Though in this case that could have been a couple of bags of compost for the victim's offspring.
They haven't been sentenced yet...the inevitable 'reports' must be prepared first, which in an ironic twist will be responsible for the deaths of more trees!
