  3. Ah. Funding. Government (I think they mean us, but we were never consulted) funding. Ye cannae beat it.
    Passive sampler - Type One , a coffee filter paper in a funnel. A few £million, thank you.
    Type Two, one of my beautiful assistant's 5 denier stockings set up in the water current. A few more £million
    I suppose that all the effluent that our wondrous water companies have been dumping has nothing to do with mussels' demise or them deciding to swim off to cleaner climes?
