You asked if anyone else 'sees it all as no change too?' Yep, and getting worse.

I've seen one kid grow up who is almost the archetype, now at the threatening others for dinner money, loitering outside shops asking adults to buy him fags stage (13). Around him are worse bullies, up to 'Rick' who is selling drugs, got his schoolgirl (decent family) girlfriend pregnant and tried to hang himself from a lamp-post when she left him (24). Rick's house is Fagin territory, another problem not understood.

The idiot professionals and pundits keep on and on on lines that might work with their own kids. Hopeless - and clown success stories that serve to hide the rest of the iceberg.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-627081175329856970.post-36048084380681485382010-11-25T08:39:05.069+00:002010-11-25T08:39:05.069+00:00I see the lovely, completely reformed and allowed ...I see the lovely, completely reformed and allowed to stay in the country Learco Chindarmo has been arrested for robbery.

Clearly more resources are needed.staybrytenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-627081175329856970.post-40724315196003914962010-11-25T05:31:26.412+00:002010-11-25T05:31:26.412+00:00"I wish that achievement through good educati..."I wish that achievement through good education & vocational training could be emphasised more. No government ever has or will fix the problems that led to Damilola being murdered by people from his hood.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-627081175329856970.post-22872287530537857732010-11-24T19:34:09.824+00:002010-11-24T19:34:09.824+00:00Legalize guns. Illusory 'Money for nothing' rewards seem especially attractive when there is nothing else available.

IMO the country probably has enough lawyers, teachers & architects to be getting on with. We need far more engineers, and dare I mention it, apprenticeships to train them.

However most professions are portrayed on TV as working in Canary Wharf style glass towers or historic buildings whereas most engineers are portrayed as working in filthy garages. Little surprise that young people would seek a job with more apparent status.Nick2noreply@blogger.com
