The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued amber alerts covering the east, south-east and south-west of England, which are valid until 20:00 BST on Tuesday. Yellow alerts are valid across the Midlands during the same period.Amber heat health alerts are issued when high temperatures are likely to have a significant impact on health and social care services.
It will be a different story for Scotland and Northern Ireland with outbreaks of heavy rain.
That’s the sort of British summer that they are more used to.
In East Yorkshire that's exactly the sort of British Summer that we are getting. Two or three days of warm weather here and there, a week or two of cold and wet, some showery days when you don't know what clothes you need to wear. The climate doom narrative banging headlong into reality.

High temperatures such as those predicted are just the sort of thing that Brits go abroad for. I have experienced much hotter temperatures on my travels. So why these dire warnings? Just give us your predictions and leave it at that.
ReplyDeleteThere is a small town called Mosgiel that is not very far (about15 miles) from me.In summer the temperature regularly exceeds 30 C and often nearer 40 C. There are no dried up remains of the residents on the pavements and everyone just gets on with their days. As a lot of them are of scottish descent they have adapted remarkably quickly to the change from Bonny Scotland
ReplyDeleteFrom experience, the Scots love hot weather. I often see them returning from holiday claiming they have not had a good time unless they look as though they've been bungee jumping into a volcano.

Whatever the temperature the climate change loonies will demand more taxes on the middle classes and more restrictions on the lives of ordinary people
