Imagine trying to control a classroom full of such children, or maybe they are left alone to do what they want until the bell sounds, which is the safer option by the looks of things. The buildings would have been in the style of the North Peckham and Gloucester Grove Estates with their wonderful walkways in the sky. The original intention was for someone to be able to get off the train at The Elephant and Castle and walk to Peckham on walkways 60' in the air.
