Shutting The Stable Door…

Mr Hardy said an electric fence would now be put up around both the duck and pheasant pens
Gosh, now you think it’s a good idea to have an electric fence…?
Mr Hardy said it seemed the killings had been made for sport rather than food
Well, that’s what they were raised for, after all. It’s not Reynards fault he can’t get a gun licence!

  1. But he was playing with his food, so that's alright then?

  2. 96 panicking birds (amongst god knows how many penned and panicking birds) killed to death by a young tightrope walking fox cub in the dark with a breeze blowing?

I smell a two legged rat not a fox.

Sounds like a good opportunity to grab yourself some cheap Pheasant & some Duck breasts ..

    Every cloud etc, etc ...

  4. Julia,

You are cleverer than you look (perhaps it is that I am just thick?)

I had to Google Reynard. Then he sprang back to me, through the dark mists of time.

Fox kills stuff. In what way is this news?

I'm not a pheasant plucker, ...etc.

BTW It's not just Reynard that struggles to get a shotgun license nowadays - they're like hen's teeth. (not those that are scattered around this chap's enclosure, obviously.)

At least with these Pheasants, you won't have to pick the shot out, or risk cracking your teeth .. ;)
