Long-term jobseekers will take part in an Easter egg hunt to win prizes helping them back into work.I wonder how much they are paid to come up with schemes like these….?
The game will be held by JobCentre Plus contractor Skills Training Centre UK (STC) in Borough.
Centre manager Catrina Lynch said she could not remember where the idea for the Easter egg hunt came from. It’s really fun, and not demeaning, but she can’t remember who came up with the idea…?
She said: “It is not meant in a demeaning way.
"My idea has always been to show people that there are jobs out there.
“There is a lot of negativity going on at the moment. It’s going to be fun.”
Yeah. Right….
"She said: “It is not meant in a demeaning way. "
ReplyDeleteSometimes these things are just effortless.
That's just awful. How totally demoralising for someone that's desperate to find work. To be treated like a child looking for easter eggs for clothing vouchers.. I can't think of anything more demeaning!
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't she just stick to her own job and retrain people?
And when the next game is pull the P45 from where a jobseeker has fitted it to her during the pointless Easter Egg Hunt, well it is not demeaning...
ReplyDeleteI suppose any sentence vis-a-vis the GBH committed as a result will be reduced due to the obvious mitigating circumstances.
"The creep had it coming!"
TTFN :)
"Sometimes these things are just effortless."
ReplyDeleteIt is like shooting fish in a barrel, sometimes, isn't it?
"Why doesn't she just stick to her own job and retrain people?"
That probably isn't her job. In fact, that probably isn't anyones job at the 'Skills Training Centre UK'...
"And when the next game is pull the P45 from where a jobseeker has fitted it to her during the pointless Easter Egg Hunt, well it is not demeaning..."
Now, there's an idea ;)
