”Is this the drive through?”

It is thought the man sat in his car until police arrived. Paramedics gave him oxygen at the scene.
In my opinion, this chap needed less oxygen, not more.

A lot less…

And as Obo points out, just why is it always Tesco…?

  1. Perhaps because there are more Tescos than anything else?

This little town has one. You could get the whole population in there, and it's open 24 hours. I keep planning to visit at 3 am to see what sort of person goes there, but they don't sell booze or tobacco at that time so whatever sort of person goes there at 3, it's not my sort.

They also have the floor length windows. Soon they'll have airport style concrete blocks in front of them all.

The biggest question I'd ask from that story is - why would someone who drives a Rolls be shopping at Tesco? Never mind the shop, he should be hung for crashing that car. If you plan to crash something, buy a Lada. They're expendable.

They don't? I thought that was only on Sundays?

Doubt it'd have got up enough speed to mount the forecourt. Getting through the window would be right out of the question!

  3. They stop selling booze at 10:30, so the place won't fill with pissheads when the pubs close. Not that there are many people in the pubs these days. I don't know how early they start selling again, I don't have that problem yet ;)

There's a little locked trolley thing they sell a few cigarettes from late at night, but it never has rolling tobacco in it.

And I reckon you could get a Lada up to speed if you had enough people pushing.

  4. It is good to see the old country still has some aristos.
He really should have horse whipped the manager.
    Ah the good old days.

Ahh, that makes sense. Actually, I've never visited a Tesco 24-hr, but I have been to Asda at 5:00am (avoiding crowds, busy day and I'm an early riser anyway), and they will happily sell you booze at that hour.

    Good point! ;)

    'Aristos'..?

It seems from the few details so released he's a far cry from an 'aristo', despite driving a Rolls Royce (so gauche, even rock & rollers casually discard them in the swimming pool - Bentleys are where it's at these days!).

Besides, a true 'aristo' wouldn't be caught dead behind the wheel of his own car. His man would drive it through the shop window for him.

    'Home, Parker'.. :)
