Barbarians Are Inside The Gates...

..and now inside the chic restaurant diners too:
Strictly Come Dancing star Rachel Stevens and BBC reporter Hugh Pym were among dozens of diners who scrambled for cover when the man began spraying bullets inside the Harry Morgan diner in St John’s Wood, North London, on Friday night.
My dears! How positively frightful...
They seemed to be coming from the vicinity of the deli next to the restaurant, separated by a wall and a doorway so I couldn’t see what was happening. Then a man lurched towards us, coming from the direction of the deli. It seemed that he was being pursued. In that split second I had visions of American gangster movies.
No need to flash on 'The Sopranos' or 'Goodfellas', Hugh. These aren't Italian-American wiseguys. These are home-grown gangstas...
A man in a crash helmet with a pistol had chased another man through Harry Morgan and shot at him. The victim had staggered up St John’s Wood High Street leaving a pool of blood behind him. An ambulance had picked him up. The man in the helmet had come out and been picked up in a car and laid on the floor as the vehicle sped off, driven by another man.
That's a really helpful description, isn't it? You can see why Hugh is a crack Beeb reporter. Police are now looking for 'a man' or 'men'.
As we drove away I felt more shocked. A gun had been fired several times in a crowded restaurant. It seemed extraordinary that a gangster-style shooting had taken place in St John’s Wood High Street of all places. It’s easy to think ‘this sort of thing won’t ever happen to me’. But it just had, and to my son too. The reality of gun crime had been made abundantly clear.
Has it? This sort of gun crime is carried out by 'men', of no appearance, as the saying goes, is it..?

Turn to the 'Telegraph' for a clue:
The Metropolitan Police's Trident unit, which deals with gun crime within the black community, is investigating the shooting, but Scotland Yard said it was too early top say whether the attack was gang related.
So much for 'the reality' of gun crime...

  3. I know I shouldn't but I feel a degree of satisfaction when the reality of Labour's lack of Governance hits the chattering, smug and so perfect media types. Welcome to the real world, Pym.

  4. Dear old BBC, doing its bit for community cohesion, I see.

  5. but surely gun crime is a thing of the past since Labour introduced the handgun ban? I mean, it's a bit unfair of the criminals to ignore it now isnt it?

Makes sense. Because gangsters of other nationalities use colourful language and jokes about one's mother's sexual escapades instead of firearms. Everyone knows that.

  7. Handgun ban working well then? The morons at the gun control network will be hugging themselves in bansturbationary delight! They can ban toy guns now! That will stop gun crime won't it?
Or we could try actually having, you know, a Police Force that believed in actually catching criminals and a justice service that believes that the correct place to keep them is in a prison for YEARS not weeks. No... bit of a fantasy that. Oh well, back to the liberal dogooders throwing (metaphorical) virgins down a well.
(Although you'd need to be Sherlock Holmes to find the latter around there without a hunting dog and ouija board!)
    TTFN :)

  8. Oh, I've got more:

I had visions of American gangster movies.

You picked a good time to start having hallucinations in the middle of someone shooting the place up, didn't you? I suppose you can't help it if you're crazy.

Why is it Beeboids never seem to catch a tray bullet? Where's the justice?

  9. So we are yet again talking about another lowlife nigger with a gun, then?

Get used to it, ponces, your beloved labour party let them in.

Hope you catch a stray one.

  10. We need more shootings in St John's Wood, Islington and Notting Hill Gate restaurants. The Liberati have been protected from the consequences of their idiocy for too long.

Until they feel the effect of crime, instead of the poor bastards they can pay to live far away from, nothing will change. So let's hope the shootings move from poor areas to affluent ones.

The original definition for a neo-conservative was a liberal who had been mugged.

What would you call a liberal who'd been shot?

Yes, it's nice to see it affect these people for a change, and not the usual victims.

    "Handgun ban working well then?"

If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will...ah, you know the rest, I'm sure! ;)

""What would you call a liberal who'd been shot?"

    Lol!

  14. I read Pym's article and couldn't beleive it was written by such a high profile 'journalist' . It said nothing. Thankfully I was put right by the mere mention of 'Op Trident' which tells you all need to know in these matters. How dare they leave the ghetto and ruin a nice meal for Hugh, Rachel and everyone else - what an awful end to a lovely day for all these people.
