As for the continuously dead Michael Jackson, I turned on the TV for a brief look tonight and they were showing his trial again. I thought that when you died, your whole life was supposed to flash before your own eyes, not everyone else's.
The 'utter crap' factor of all this is amazing. People are publicly spouting the most extraordinary nonsense. Is it just natural grief or a wider 'Diana' moment of collective idiocy?
To me, though, the best of the lot was on TV news last night, when a 'financial expert' regarding MJ's debt problems gravely intoned:
"People are publicly spouting the most extraordinary nonsense. Is it just natural grief or a wider 'Diana' moment of collective idiocy?"
I go for the latter.
Aided and abetted by the 24/7/365 media who need something to fill all that airtime with, and helicopter shots of people massing outside a hospital will do as well as anything else...
