Fathers-to-be are to be given lessons on breastfeeding and supporting their partner through childbirth, ministers will announce this week.Fantastic! More taxpayer money squandered…
A long-awaited families green paper will propose measures to get fathers more involved in their child's upbringing from before birth and beyond. The ones who need this sort of lesson won’t be around, of course…
Still, NuLab, eh? Always thinking of how they can improve the lives of thei…
Oh:
The paper is aimed at seizing the initiative from David Cameron, who has made tackling family breakdown a flagship policy.*sigh*
As Al Jahom points out, it’s getting increasingly surreal…
It's totally absurd, for any socialist to accuse the Tories of social engineering has to be the height of hypocrisy, but the two of them still try to tell us how to run our lives. Time they just left us alone to sort ourselves out, at least that's a way that works.
ReplyDeletenope a man know nothing about breastfeeding. bing
ReplyDeletetaking care for his child yes.
taking care of the mother of his child yes.
but breastfeeding no.
so when the nanny state dictates we must learn how to be good parent remeber, food, clothing and shelter are the basics the rest is gravy
As an oldie I just wonder how we managed in the past, although I think without all this help we made a better job of it.
ReplyDeleteMale breast feeding is trivially possible: See here:

ReplyDeleteIsn't gravy already included in "food"?
sorry having bieng born from local stock when i say gravy i don't mean wet dark food.
ReplyDeletegravy is the rest of it, the stuff we want but don't need, you know like fish and base ball caps?!?
as long as a child or an adult has a coat, some shoes and a smile the rest is fish, i think
ReplyDelete"Time they just left us alone to sort ourselves out..."
ReplyDeleteAmen! Trouble is, even UKIP are starting to get bannin' fever now...
"As an oldie I just wonder how we managed in the past, although I think without all this help we made a better job of it."
I think so too...
"Male breast feeding is trivially possible"
Distopia approaches!
Aren't stock and gravy the same thing?
ReplyDeleteMy neighbours lads girfriend just had a baby (his), he went to several anti-natal sessions and had shedloads of leaflets and is very keen on the active dad thing. One more leaflet won't make any difference to dads who don't care
ReplyDeleteI am a man. I have two non-functional and undeveloped breasts. I do know the benefits of breast feeding and colostrum though. However, not possessing a functional pair of glands that define the class mammalia I cannot do anything about it. Such training is wasted on fathers anyway because they are men. Will this stupid government just stop wasting taxpayers money it .....oh, they are wasting borrowed money aren't they? Bastards!
ReplyDeleteI don't really need lessons on breast-feeding. I can manage fine. But compared to cow's milk I always found it a bit watery.
