A tasteless comment from me now: did you notice that as soon as Gordon had bullied the Pope in to making an official visit (where he ignored all the protocols about how these invitations are issued) that the old files about child abuse started to burst open and track all the way back to the top.
We now have what looks to me like a viable case for arresting the Pope, or at least accepting an extradition request, if he comes here. All we need is someone with a recognized extradition treaty to request the extradition.
What is hilarious about that is that it was leftist in the first place who forced the arrest of Pinochet, and now they find that the argument about not being a head of state and therefore not immune from arrest, has come back to bite them.
Disclaimer: no offence is intended to victims of abuse. The comment is purely about the law and politics.
The "Curse" sweeps doom before him where ever he goes.
