Well, It Was Canvey Island...

...I guess Fido couldn't wait for her to grow up:
A four-year-old girl was attacked by a police dog as she played in a park.

Erika Galiano was dragged to the floor and bitten on the arm by the German Shepherd who was being walked by his handler.
Or, indeed, was practicing for the expected influx.

    Ah, yes! Sent that one over to Mark Wadsworth.

    It's an odd story, because wombats aren't exactly TALL, so how it could press home the attack on a biped is a bit of a mystery...
