Nice Idea, Robert, But...

It seems Robert Fisk is in high old dudgeon, pontificating on the need for someone to 'civilise' the ignorant heathen:
It is a tragedy, a horror, a crime against humanity. The details of the murders – of the women beheaded, burned to death, stoned to death, stabbed, electrocuted, strangled and buried alive for the "honour" of their families – are as barbaric as they are shameful. Many women's groups in the Middle East and South-west Asia suspect the victims are at least four times the United Nations' latest world figure of around 5,000 deaths a year.
No more the need to be 'culturally sensitive', to shy away from 'imperialism'.

No, we must now waste even more of our blood and resources bringing our civilising influence to bear on those Robert has suddenly decided are against the pale.

And this has, of course, been picked up as The Right Thing To Do®, and Twitter and the blogs have been alive with agreement.

Problem is, we can't seem to do much about such cases here in our own country, so quite what he expects us to do half-way around the world is unclear:
A couple and their son who put a pregnant women through “sustained episodes of violence” have been given suspended prison sentences.
How about we start closer to home, eh? Let's see you pontificating on that, instead, Robert.

Let's see serious jail time for the savages in our midst, before we yet again take up arms in other parts of the world....

  1. It is THEIR country.

If they want to do this back in the land of the tent pissers, then we can not complain.

If we DO. We have no right to complain when the sand niggers demand shityrear law here.

Let them alone. The way they are going, shagging their cousins, Brothers, sisters, Mothers, and their live stock, they will die out soon any way....HOPEFULLY.

  2. Have to agree with FT, leave em alone and make sure that they do NOT come here bringing their barbarity with them.
Prosecute to the fullest extent those who flout our laws in favour of their 'own ways', and teach them that they will not establish their laws here via a backstabbing backdoor process...I suppose I will be labelled Islamophobe for saying stuff like this but as anyone can see if they open their eyes there is much to be 'phobic' about!

  3. Yep clean our own stables first, to the max of the Law, and sort out the domestic slavery too.

I'm not in the slightesy bit Islamophobic.Pathetic knee jerk leftie word as it is. I have no irrational fear of Islam, I hate it because by now I know quite a lot about it.

And sorry to be picky Julia, but it's beyond the pale.It has to be beyond or it makes no sense.

The phrase comes from an imaginary boundary around Dublin in the 18th century. Inside the line were the civilised people, but beyond it (the pale) lived the barbarian bogtrotters. Mine of useless info me!

  4. You're quite right. We need to tackle such problems in our own country and stop treating a certain bullying religious minority with kid gloves. Members of this particular monotheism are throwing their weight about on the other side of the Channel again, this time issuing a Facebook fatwa against Christine Tasin, the organiser of a series of anti-Islamisation demonstrations across France last Saturday. She's received two death threats in 24 hours. 'Religion of peace'? Pah! http://durotrigan.blogspot.com/2010/09/christine-tasin-receives-facebook-fatwa.html

  5. This is so rich in irony.

For years Robert Fisk has been telling lies about Israel on behalf of those poor 'dispossessed' Palestinians and the Hamas savages they elected as their leaders.

Now - lo and behold - he suddenly discovers the truth about Arabs and their Islamic 'culture'.

The road to Damascus is a long and winding one but you got there in the end, Fisky-boy!

  6. Yes, sort out anything that happens here using the full weight of the Justice system. Other countries, not our problem.

We can complain all we like - it's when folks like Fisk insist we must DO something, that I get worried...

"...teach them that they will not establish their laws here via a backstabbing backdoor process..."

    Agreed.

"I have no irrational fear of Islam, I hate it because by now I know quite a lot about it."

The more you know, the more you realise how many lies are spread in the media about it.

It shouldn't be classed as a religion - it's a political philosophy, one just as toxic as facism or socialism...

"Members of this particular monotheism are throwing their weight about on the other side of the Channel again, this time issuing a Facebook fatwa against Christine Tasin, the organiser of a series of anti-Islamisation demonstrations across France.."

Thanks for that link - that's gone completely unmentioned in the MSM here...

Yes, it's an amazing conversion, isn't it? I wonder which feminist reporter he's trying to get into the...

    No, mustn't go there!

"Yes, sort out anything that happens here using the full weight of the Justice system."

That 'full weight' seems to be getting lighter and lighter by the day, though.
