He added “what happens next is open” but finished by describing the movement as “a bold experiment with plenty that we can all learn from”....not to let local councils hand over thousands of pounds of taxpayer money to groups like this one!

Also, just how did they influence anything? It sounds like a club for like minded people, except they didn't like each other in the end.

ReplyDeleteThat's the problem with all of these single-issue fanatics - in the end, once they've exhausted the money, they turn on each other...
Why should a council fund local groups to explore the climate change agenda? What can they possibly propose that is going to be worth the effort of reading, let alone an annual grant of £2500?
ReplyDeleteIMO Brighton Council funds kooky groups to show that it 'cares' & to boxtick the various obligations imposed by NuLab central government. And, despite a change of central government, B&H Council will probably continue to do so.
