Every time I see things like this, I'm taken back to a time when newspapers were produced the old fashioned way with Linotype machines. No computer spel chekers, just a bunch of guys hammering away at keys. If there were any misteaks in the original copy, they would correct them. I no this is true because I found an old copy of our local paper in the roof recently, and reading through it was both a revelation, and brought back memories.

Indeed. And no doubt people were better educated then, too. We've become lazy, relying too much on machines.
