If Not This Case, Then What Is..?

Neither girl can be named for legal reasons, with magistrates refusing to lift reporting restrictions on identity as they felt it was “not a sufficiently serious case”.
They threw a baby into a bus lane.

Never mind the constant bullying, the racial harassment and attack on a family (including an adult woman) on the street in broad daylight, safe in the knowledge that no-one would dare interfere. Never mind the fact that the family has moved to Mauritius so they can feel safe again.

They threw a baby into a bus lane..!

  1. I feel nauseous. Not 'serious enough'? Would a dead baby have been 'enough'?

  2. Presumably they were not white girls, as I think we'd have been told if they were.

  3. 'Presumably they were not white girls, as I think we'd have been told if they were.'
Correct- a 'Metro' report about a week ago slipped out that the victims were Asian (presumably Mauritian) and the offenders were black. Keeping their names secret merely leaves unanswered the detail of which particular 'black community' they hailed from.

  6. I was thinking GONA before I read 'the offenders were black'.
    Multicultural racism if you will.

  7. "I feel nauseous."

    Me too.

And I almost wish I lived in a less civilised society, so I could join the mob pulling these magistrates from their comfortable middle class safe areas and - before they were strung up - have a chance to look them in the eye and ask 'Is it serious enough NOW?'..

"Presumably they were not white girls.."

No, I've had my eye on this one awhile, waiting for the verdict. As Mark points out, they were both black.

Sentencing is going to be interesting...

"If it is Croydon they will be called Moesha and Kiesha..."

    We'll never know...
