Oxford Crown Court had previously heard that Mr Morley, then her fiancé, grew suspicious after working out the timings of the girl’s birth last May.
When he confronted her in June, she claimed she had been raped during a drunken night out the previous summer.
The soldier in 23 Pioneer Regiment, based in Bicester, near Oxford, called police but as detectives delved deeper, they worked out she was lying.
They're like buses, these cases, aren't they? Always come along in pairs.
DNA samples were taken from the couple and the baby. An e-fit picture was produced, which police thought matched the description of a local man. He was arrested and later released on police bail.
Morley then contacted the police and told them she had seen the rapist driving a blue Citroen Saxo car and officers were able to identify a second man.
Slowly, but surely, that DNA database is getting filled. One way, or the other...
If think we all know that many many people are quite prepared to make things up to divert attention from their own bad. It starts when we are young, it is not specificaly a male or female thing. But this kind of allegation, by adults, considering the concequences just has to be delt with far more seriously.
ReplyDeleteJulia, you know who I am and what I've been through. I'm gunna give it a rest for a bit because after going to hell and back, upsetting people along the way this is just not helping me. Keep the faith, it is an issue worth attention and thankyou.

ReplyDeleteThis one is understandable (to a point). It's the ones who do it without having their own misdeeds to cover up or distract attention from that baffle me.
Perhaps something has happened to them in anthoer time and another place? Perhaps they are just mad and this is the manafestation of their pain? Who cares, because if we tollerate this then our children will be next.
