Police are hunting a Walthamstow Market trader who failed to attend court after being accused of mugging a man.He ought to be easy to spot...
All that's missing is the bolt through the neck...
Martin Ters, 19, is alleged to have stolen a mobile phone from a 40-year-old pedestrian in July last year.Wha...?
Ters was arrested shortly afterwards and was charged with robbery in early November. And you're only putting his description out now..?
He was due to appear at Waltham Forest Magistrates Court on Thursday November 18 but failed to turn up.
Perhaps the "Wanted Offenders Unit" has been "saving" him, for when there's a slack period ?
ReplyDeleteCaptain Haddock, you think you jest? That is what happens a lot of the time. When headlines are required for an action day against a particular group of offender cases are saved up, press officers appointed and ride along local and national journos 'embedded. Trouble is these have lost their novelty and are quite boring now, but they used to store up warrants etc.to put on a show.
ReplyDeleteI get a neighbourhood watch circular every week and far from what kent police say, crime is certainly rising in my area, all low level stuff which is crimed as Criminal Damage as opposed to attempt burglary etc. I was getting tired of the lack of info and rang the crime prevention PC (as encouraged) to ask if some more information could be included such as points of entry (attempted or actual) so 'we' could be aware of any problems in our own houses and whether cars stolen were the result of letterbox burglaries and if particular streets were being targeted. I was not surprised to be told I couldn't have the info nor could they print it due to 'Data protection'????? No point arguing is there.
I despair at the public pronouncements of police officers, normally over inspector that spout sheer verbal shite like that Essex tart recently about Travellers. Incredible.
Some say the wheels of justice grind exceedingly slowly. Or have stopped.
ReplyDelete"Captain Haddock, you think you jest? That is what happens a lot of the time."
ReplyDeleteSo much for exigent justice... :(
If only he had sung "Kung Fu Fighting" while robbing the victim, the police would have had a SWAT team hunting him for months...
