The head teacher of a troubled high school has been suspended after teachers went on strike over bad behaviour and poor management, authorities said.
Yup, it's
Darwen again.
Now the school governors have decided to act, saying "issues" have arisen that need investigation.
Calls to Blackburn with Darwen Council for further information were not returned.
Instead a statement, replete with spelling mistakes, was issued by the council on behalf of the chair of governors, Don Heatlie-Jackson.
This story promises to run and run...
It's certainly been one of the more entertaining bits of news to come out of the area for a while.
ReplyDeleteIt really must be bad if the teachers are striking rather than supporting the rights of the kids towards freedom of expression and other lefty nonsense.
Of all the ongoing stupid situations in world, the mangling of education is one of the worst.
ReplyDeleteWe would disagree on the details of what should happen, generally; but anyone who thinks things are moving in the right direction...
No, I can't find the words. I don't usually use that kind of language. Obo the clown is needed here.
"uhm eh one..two..er...uhm..four..oh fuck..uhm..fuck start again...uhhh..one ..two..fuck it I dunno I Fink I done got 6 fuckin GCE's"
ReplyDelete^ That should read "GCSE's" of course...the old GCE was actually quite good.
ReplyDeleteZaphod: I know. I usually find myself sub-vocalising that conveniently abrupt Anglo-Saxon term for 'lady's front bottom' at this point.
ReplyDelete"It really must be bad if the teachers are striking rather than supporting the rights of the kids towards freedom of expression and other lefty nonsense."
ReplyDeleteTrendy leftie teaching theory is clearly only good up to the point little Wayne decides to stab you...

Certainly, it's the most potentially harmful...

Spot on.
I was pulled to one side at a family wedding this weekend by a trendy leftie social worker aunt. To warn me my *just-teen-and-recently-allowed-out-of-my-sight-for-a-few-hours-at-weekends-in-the-park-5-minutes-up-the-road* daughter has been seen in the company of someone she knows well through her work. Of course she couldn't give me his name just the hint that he was the only boy in the group that particular day and that my daughter would know who I meant.
...
In my aunt's very own words "he's a really lovely kid but keep her the hell away from him".
/facepalm...as yer do...
