A new play, kim cos tim, is being staged by members of the campaign group Lives Not Knives later this month.
Excellent! That'll fix everything, right?
The group created the play, which incorporates song, rap, dance and comedy, with the help of script writer Alan Charles. They hope it will help parents, teachers and youth workers understand the issues and stimulate debate.
Oh. It can't be working after all - just reading that makes me want to stab someone...
Monique Rebeiro from the group said: "The LNK team have been there and done it..... but now want to make a difference in their community. Therefore, we will use all profits to take LNK roadshows to more schools, to talk to pupils about the consequences of getting involved with gangs and carrying a weapon."
You'll be telling them about the consequences, eh? Well,
that won't take too long, will it?
Jackie Smith in a stern voice told us "they will be brought before a court" but then fails to say "probably not imprisoned so really the deterrent effect wil be nil"
ReplyDelete'Legz Akimbo' springs to mind! I suppose they get some 'kommoonitee funding'?
ReplyDelete"it will help parents, teachers and youth workers understand the issues and stimulate debate."
ReplyDeleteIt will help me projectile vomit.
"we will use all profits to take LNK roadshows to more schools"
It's going to make a profit?
I wouldn't mind attempts to highlight the consequences of carrying a knife without good reason . . .
ReplyDelete. . . so long as the consequences were ten years hard labour somewhere north of the Arctic Circle.
Ranter, you read my mind!!!
