Some vegans are forcing their pet cats to adopt their no-meat diets.Oh, FFS!
Marco Pagliarulo, a vegan living in Toronto, said he has been feeding his seven-year-old male cat, Mishu, vegan food for more than a year.
"My veterinarian friend doesn't agree with me, but like most human doctors, vets don't study nutrition."No, but they do study the effects on animals of being in the possession of shallow, self-centred little ideologues, so I think he’s right on the money.
Pagliarulo said he started feeding his cat a no-meat diet after reading the popular book "Food Pets Die For" by Ann Martin, a Canadian writer who investigated the commercial pet food industry. So, does Marco’s bestest author agree with his stance?
Martin, however, says a vegan diet is not suitable for felines.
"I am not in favour of anyone feeding their cats a vegan diet," Martin told QMI. "Cats need the amino acids found only in meat especially the taurine."Not that Marco’s listening by now, I suspect his attention has been drawn by some other fad or political statement, much as his cat is distracted by a shiny object or bit of string.
Assuming the poor thing’s not blind by now...
Yes, well, who’d listen to them, rather than veterinary professionals and biologists?
Apart from the Marcos of this world, that is.
But animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said felines don't need meat to thrive and should be fed an all-vegetable diet with artificial supplements mimicking the essential amino acids and minerals.Ah, right. Those animal lovers at PETA.

A clear case of animal cruelty - and of an extreme kind.
ReplyDeleteWhy are so many vegans such vile people? Which came first, the (tofu) chicken or the (synthetic) egg?
next it'll be the vote and equal rights for bitches and the rest, lol. Oh yes and the right to a family life so anyone breeding 50+ feral animals will enjoy a free council house and 10s of thousands of pounds to feed their habits ;)
ReplyDeleteNo votes for bitches!
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, these people should be jailed.
After so many years of reading blogs and never commenting, I'm not sure why this one has drawn me out. Maybe it's the dynamic duo of PETA and self righteous vegans who's over weening pride makes them oblivious to the advice of professionals. No it's always 'I know best because I'm in touch with the cosmic life force.'. Fuckers. I don't care what you do to yourselves but leave innocent bystanders alone, whether they be your kids or your pets.
ReplyDeleteIf the article had included raw food fanatics you would have got the trifecta.
hey you think I'm joking, mostely I is, lol, anywhichwhoever, owners of pets pay tax ergo, their pets should expect a level of service from the authorities.....first their were cycle lanes next stop dog lanes and rat runs
ReplyDeletehow the fuck does a vegan cope with a pet that requires live animal product to feed on, oh I dunno like a some spiders.....fish
ReplyDelete"don't need meat to thrive and should be fed an all-vegetable diet with artificial supplements"
ReplyDeleteAny diet, human or animal, that requires artificial supplements is by definition neither 'natural', balanced nor healthy.
That's what pisses me off about vegans (and I was one) and their holier-than-thou health claims.
just cus its possible doesn't make it right, vegans you are in some serious need of a healthy diet, it is a choice but IMHO curious at best and determindly perverse especialy when thrust on anyone or anything else.
ReplyDeletebtw to any vegitarians out there do you know how milk is made, by shooting all male calves at a day or two old when instead we could give them a short but enjoyable life, humanely end their life and convert them into delicious pink veal, you mad fuckers.
What about this? Throw Marco into the Tiger enclosure at the zoo, armed only with a bucket of nutritious soya etract.
ReplyDeleteThen see what the Tiger does.
What an unspeakable sonofabitch.

too much salt is bad for you, take it out of the equation and you end up as mad as a bag of frogs with no one to eat them
ReplyDeleteand yes i know trying to promote the consumption of meat products by sighting frog's legs as a delicious and nutritious appetiser is probably lost on most but have you ever tried to carry a bag full of frogs? not nearly as difficult as holding a sane conversation with a vegan in respect of nutrition or taste.
ReplyDeletesurely this vegan's pet cat still hunts spiders for fun, pulls the wings off birds and delivers them dutifuly as a gift to its owner if not it needs putting out of its misery like some caged animals i see in zoos or like a bear tied to post banging its head against a wall because all it want's to do is eat a fucking vegan

ReplyDeleteSums this fucktard to a tee!!
Have you ever noticed how vegans always have some kind of respiratory infection and are basically big bags of sanctimonious mucus in an ugly sweater?
ReplyDeleteI have to low-carb it, so the thought of what a vegan diet would do to me hardly bears thinking about. It would probably kill me, although I'd be farting so much towards the end I'd take half the building with me.

ReplyDeleteSee the acronym PETA and you know bollocks is about to be spoken. Usually progressive, lefty bollocks spiced with caring.
ReplyDeleteThough not to be fed to a hungry cat under any circumstances.
That is idiocy of a Biblical nature! Cats are carnivores, you cannot feed them a "meat free" diet because it will do immense harm. It is Cruelty pure and simple. Look at their teeth and their actions and you will see that nature fitted Cats as predators of meat not wild veg! As Cat put it "I like my food to move!"
ReplyDeleteAnyone want to bet that Marco's cat isn't roaming around finding its own 'supplements' - the kind that go squeak - when the self righteous wanker isn't around? Anyhow, I though PETA didn't like the idea of people even having pets - some bollocks about being an affront to the animal's dignity and a restriction of its natural freedom. Can't have it both ways, fucknuts.
ReplyDelete"A clear case of animal cruelty - and of an extreme kind. "
ReplyDeleteYup, it should be treated as a cruelty case, and I hope it would be over here.
"No votes for bitches!"
Too late! :)
"Maybe it's the dynamic duo of PETA and self righteous vegans..."
If I'd had the raw food fanatics as well, this post may well have opened a vortex of stupid and we'd all be doomed...
"Any diet, human or animal, that requires artificial supplements is by definition neither 'natural', balanced nor healthy."
Indeed. It's like they don't even believe what comes out of their own mouths, isn't it?
"What about this? Throw Marco into the Tiger enclosure at the zoo, armed only with a bucket of nutritious soya etract.

I like that plan!
"Sums this fucktard to a tee!!"
Ha! Indeed! :)
"Have you ever noticed how vegans always have some kind of respiratory infection..."
Luckily, I don't know many! Well, only one, actually, and she's happy to cook steak for her boyfriend.
"Anyone want to bet that Marco's cat isn't roaming around finding its own 'supplements'..."
Oh, I bet. And leaving the remains in his slippers, I hope...
Cats need taurine in their diet. Taurine isn't awailable from plant materials. It is found in meat, especially tasty liver! If the cat has no taurine it will go blind. It can however be sourced as an additive. However, a cat is an obligate carnivore.Just look at the teeth. It is adapted to a meat diet. it has a short gut. Far too short to work with vegetable materials.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is abusing this cat big time!
