Nova Whiting-Willet, 36, was travelling on a packed number 85 double-decker with husband Anders, 32, and was in the crowded buggy area, where passengers had also left suitcases.
Wayne McCatty, 34, of Stroud Crescent, Putney tried to force a buggy carrying a small child into the tiny space and admits punching the couple as the row escalated.
No passengers intervened and they stepped over the prone victim as they got off the bus for another service.
"I told him I could not move either way," Mrs Whiting-Willet - who has auto-immune disease lupus - told Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court. "He said aggressively: 'You are going to have to ******* move'.
"He said: 'If you weren't so ******* fat you'd be able to move you fat ugly bitch.'There’s a picture of Ms Whiting-Willet, but strangely, not one of the accused…
"He kept making threats that he would have his boys waiting for us when we got off the bus.
"He grabbed my right arm very, very tightly. I couldn't get him off me and I remember being punched on the side of the head and being on the floor very quickly.
"He had hold of my head and was banging it against the floor and I felt him stamping on my head, shoulder, stomach and legs and kicking me in the back," added Mrs Whiting-Willet, who broke down in tears several times while giving evidence.Hmmm. Is this another case of an Accused Of No Appearance’?
Well, the ‘Telegraph’ does give the game away by quoting him verbatim:
He said: 'I'm going to fucking kill you white bitch' and remember something very sharp and very painful that took my breath away.
"I think it was several punches to my stomach."Sounds awfully familiar to me. In fact, it bears lots of resemblance, right down to the other passengers' indifference.
McCatty admitted he was the man captured on the bus's CCTV when giving himself up to police three months later, but claims he struck the couple in self-defence.I don't know why he bothered, given he'll probably get the same derisory sentence if found guilty.
The fuller text is even more distasteful and unless you are a lawyer enjoying crown court rates on the public purse, there seems little point in continuing this trial.
ReplyDeleteWayne and his defence team know that our prisons are brimming but here's hoping a small space is waiting into which he can force himself.
But with racism thrown in, surely?
ReplyDeleteChalcedon,
ReplyDeleteDon't be daft, only white people are racists - blacks are merely acting out their oppression.
Looking forward to the judge wriggling out of the racial aspect of this. Clear racial motive, but being black he will evade the consequences.
ReplyDeleteWayne McCatty is a racist and plenty more where he came from. Chris Rock would call him a nigga and blame apes like him for giving black people a bad name. I bet his breath stank as if he's just finished a shit sandwich. He should serve a minimum of 5 years and if there was any justice he'd get stabbed to death while inside.
ReplyDeleteBit of a giveaway, no?
ReplyDeleteRacist See You Next Tuesday areshole, I hate these bastards who think they can throw their weight around just because their victim is white. In fact I hate what our 'elite' have done to our country and I wouldn't piss on Toynbee et al if they were on fire, total swine the lot of them.
ReplyDeleteCPS are very keen on prosecuting anything racially aggravated, but never if the victim is white. Time that department had a flue brush put through it.
ReplyDelete"CPS are very keen on prosecuting anything racially aggravated, but never if the victim is white."
ReplyDeleteThat is so true, Gallovidian but the flue brush does not quite cut it. This expensive political organisation requires overnight accommodation in a good autoclave.
"Wayne and his defence team know that our prisons are brimming..."
ReplyDeleteYet this is EXACTLY the sort of crime that needs to see a hefty sentence.
"But with racism thrown in, surely?"
Sadly, EV and Rob right; that doesn't even seem to have been considered here, yet we all know what would have happened if the situation had been reversed...
" Time that department had a flue brush put through it."
Long past time. But Ken Clarke's not the man for the job.
Why do u automatically believe everything u hear. She has accused him of assault so obviously she will spin it from her angle. He admitted hitting her, yes wrong but not is she was coming at him and she's quite a hefty woman. Race is not the issue. People get angry, they argue and sometimes fight. She wanted compensation so exaggerated everything. Well she won't get much now as he was found not guilty.
ReplyDeleteThe comment above was posted by Wayne McCatty. May you rot in hell. The truth will out.
ReplyDeleteYou racist, woman beating thug. You can hide behind the colour of your skin but you are a disgrace to your brothers.
re: the bus buggy row - well - the truth DID come out. The lady's story was a lie. In fact she was the one who was being racially abusive , and had attacked the father, as well as threaten his wife and kids. what would you do - sit back and let someone racially and physically violate you? She tried to use her gender , her race and flip it over in her favour. It did not work out though did it? Unfortunately the media have not mentioned anything about the verdict...oh yes, let us not forget - all this was on cctv and there was a witness too. don't believe everything you read in the paper. My concern us that the police had the cctv all along and let it get that far.
ReplyDeleteSome of you on here need a reality check esp the fperson with the shit sandwich comment. That is an awfuk thing to say. There is a reason why he was found not guilty and it lies in the fact that the complainant was lying, had fabricated the story in her favour , so that she could seek compensation ( which she admitted to in court)- and used the media to help spin her story out there to the masses. What would your response be if you heard someone calling someone else a 'black cunt' and a 'black bastard' - in front of his daughter, let alone the rest of the passengers? I guess people are use to this eh? Totally unacceptable. Perhaps some of you should have attended the trial as did I to see what really did happen? It is amazing how a lie can be dragged this far out and put a family man's name out there to be tarnished. Despicable.
