Capital Idea!

The parish council wants to introduce a bylaw which would permit only children under 12 to use the facilities following complaints from neighbours about noisy youths using them.
Councillors also want to stop dogs being walked in the play areas in Baskerville Road, Lea Road and Churchill Crescent in order to protect young children from dog mess.
I couldn’t help a wry chuckle at the inclusion of Baskerville Road…
Vice-chairman Douglas Kedge said: “Local authorities have a duty to keep play areas clear of dog faeces.”
Do they? I thought that was a responsibility of dog owners?
Police community support officer Colin Boyes revealed that children as young as 11 had started fires in the play areas and suggested locking them at night.
Fantastic idea! That’ll show the feral little…

Wait. There ‘s no ‘up’ in that sentence.

I might have misread it….

By all means introduce by-laws. But they have to be enforced (which is not really going to happen) and the underclass informed of the consequences of ignoring them (good luck with that one).

All in all, it looks like those fires and doggy do-dos are going to carry on.

  3. All parks should be fenced off. Originally they were places for refined elderly ladies to walk their poodles.
Now they should be reserved for real estate developement.

    Quite!

"All in all, it looks like those fires and doggy do-dos are going to carry on."

I wouldn't be at all surprised...

"All parks should be fenced off. "
