Luckily She Didn’t Need Stitches…

A son who tried to stab his mother in Drefach when she attempted to stop him using her sewing machine has been fined and given a restraining order.
*boggle*

Presumably, he wasn’t running up a pair of curtains on it?
The court heard that Papa, whose address was listed as Picton Terrace, Mount Pleasant, Swansea, was with his mother, Teresa Davies, in the Gwendraeth Valley village on February 14 last year, when the incident took place.

Prosecuting, Sian Vaughan said: "He was messing around with her sewing machine.

"When Ms Davies was told about it and tried to stop him doing it he got up and a dispute started.

"He then tried to stab her in the stomach several times."
As you do…
The court heard how Ms Davies managed to get out of the room where the incident took place, before Papa later grabbed a two foot bar, swung it in her direction — hitting her in the head. She then managed to leave the property.
And for this, he doesn’t even get sent to jail?
Magistrates decided to release Papa from custody with a conditional discharge and a restraining order to stay away from his mother for twelve months. He was fined £400 costs and ordered to pay £100 compensation to his mother, while a destruction order was made for the bar which was used as a weapon.
Oh, well, that’ll settle his hash! It’s not like there’s a shortage of iron bars in Wales, is it?
