I've put out a fair few fires in my own kitchen with nowt more than a soggy tea towel and never made the 10 o' clock spot. Those old infomercials were very handy for educating the plebs back in the day.
Perhaps they stopped em because the general public were doing the Fire Brigade for them. *flash of realisation after typing that*...errr...when did the name change ??

Oh *cringe*..."doing the Fire Brigade for them" should have read "doing the Fire Brigades WORK for them".

That one about Coryton is quite a big deal, it's a major refinery and was once Mobils' pride and joy. Done design work on that me.
