So, I'm Confused...

...are we supposed to listen to the people who insist there's no elephant in the room:
Detective Chief Superintendent Mary Doyle, of Greater Manchester Police, insisted that getting ‘hung up on race and ethnicity issues’ detracted from what was simple child sex abuse.
‘There is no evidence to say they were targeted because they were white,’ she said. ‘They were targeted because they were there.’
...or the people who live side by side with the elephant and describe it in detail?
‘There is a particular problem with groups of Pakistani men who think white girls are worthless,’ said Mohammed Shafiq, director of the Ramadhan Foundation.
‘They think they can use and abuse these girls in this abhorrent sort of way and then discard them.’
Well, which is it? The 'Guardian', of course, thinks it has the answer:
There have been so few investigations of large offending groups that a few cases involving big non-Asian groups could easily shift these offender profiles in a whole new direction.
It seems they are hoping there's a white/black/Chinese gang out there doing the same thing. Y'know, in the interest of 'balance'...

  1. So the only race issue here is whom is first to appease what!

  2. Is it not at heart more a religious/cultural issue than a racial one?

  3. Sums up the state of modern police leadership/management.
WTF is 'simple child sex abuse'? Seems like they are now apologists for paedophilia
ACC Heywood's statements yesterday were truly astonishing given the huge amount of evidence.
The failure to address the racial 'elephant' is precisely why the IPCC are now digging into police/CPS failure when the original 'victim' first made her allegations and was dismissed.
The police ARE completely ‘hung up on race and ethnicity issues’ - but not in the right way.
Clarkson is right - maybe a little racism is the answer and not just to airport queues.

  5. What is almost as sick as these perverts are comments such as -

If white girls weren't so promiscuous maybe the Asian men wouldn't go for them!

I have reported this as racist and vile for blaming the child victims of this abuse.

  6. The ever oleaginous Keith Vaz was intimating on Radio 4s Today program this morning that 'the prosecution and outcome must not be influenced by the BNP ' !, he also claimed, despite the demographics that most sex offenders were white, and of course Asians was his word of choice, only corrected at the end of the piece by the Barnardos representative who said it was Pakistani and Afghan men, and naturally an investigation into the causes is needed despite everyone knowing the causes already and the PC reluctance of the policeto follow anything up that involves these issues.

  7. Of course there has to be balance. In Guardian world there are large groups of every colour and ethnicity preying on young girls. The Pakistanis were just unlucky to be caught first.

Let's hope these bastards get handed around Strangeways like a pig at a redneck picnic.

  8. According to reports there were over 20 offenders (only nine charged), and 47 victims (only 7 "sample" cases used).

So statistically, what are the odds of all the perpetrators being Asian and all the victims white if there was no racial motive, i.e. if the victims had been chosen at random.

Well...they admitted accosting innocent white members of the public purely for Stop & Search to even up the numbers for their targets.

And it's not unheard of for white parents to be falsely accused of child sex abuse.

If TPTB felt minded it wouldn't take much at all to at least give the impression of evening up the score, would it.

Scary, when you think about it.

  10. The Graun hoping for a white/black/Chinese gang?

As Brian the dog said in Family Guy: "Oh no! It's a multiracial TV gang! Including white guys!"

  11. "Curmudgeon said...

Is it not at heart more a religious/cultural issue than a racial one?"

I think it's a combination of all three.

Their religion says paedophilia is ok....little asian boys are raised from birth to believe they are far superior to females in their own culture therefore so too in every other culture...and these little white girls were raised in an underclass that thrives on sex and alcohol.

That the girls hadn't been taught the common sense to avoid the sexual advances of grown men of any colour right from the very start is absolutely chilling. They had no idea how to handle it.

The whole thing is a chaotic mess that somehow taxpayers are supposed to sort out when parents of BOTH religions/cultures/races fail to raise their own children better.

The demographic mix of Rochdale is 19.9% Pakistani, 78.7% white. Given the assumptions you make, the p value for this - i.e. the null hypothesis that there would be a similar reflection in the number of victims and perps - is less than 0.0001 i.e. less than one in ten thousand.

I think we can safely say this was no accident. And the Greater Manchester Cop who said this is not racial is statistically illiterate, a fool or a liar. Or all three.

  13. When a big gang of men (every one of them a Pakistani) are proved beyond doubt to have raped and brutalised a large number of young girls (every one of them white) the Guardian says 'Don't let's jump to any conclusions, folks.'

But when Father O'Flanagan is alleged to have touched a choirboy's bottom in Ballysheedy Church Hall in 1953, the Guardian says something very different.

  14. Thanks to the Lawrence report, A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person. The BNP think it is a racial incident so it is. (MacPherson didn't see that one coming.) The fact that they have not named one of the offenders is curious. Perhaps more charges to follow?
I must admit I have lost count of the various cases, are there more in the pipeline in other places?

    Spot on!

"...and of course Asians was his word of choice..."

I am so weary of hearing that PC - and inaccurate! - descriptor!

"Scary, when you think about it."

What's scary is....who'd put it past them?

"That the girls hadn't been taught the common sense to avoid the sexual advances of grown men of any colour right from the very start is absolutely chilling."

Most were in some form of 'care'. Councils use that word, but I don't think it means what they think it means...

I think they key attribute leading to this nonsensical statement is actually 'ambitious'!

I'm assuming so - and yes, I suspect we'll see more of these.

  18. We should thank Mohammed Shafiq, director of the Ramadhan Foundation, for his honesty.

If I were a Sikh from Amritsar, or a Hindu from Mumbai, I would be very uncomfortable with the identification of the criminals as "Asian", as if this was the defining feature of the gang.

We should remember that there are paedophiles of all races and religions. The difference in this case is mainly that criminals had a different and more overt modus operandi than criminals from other racial/religious/cultural groups - and the fact that, because of their race and religion, the police gave them a free pass for so many years. The criminals played on this right to the end, one of them shouting as he was led away that the judge was a "racist bastard".
