An illegal hunting dog is thought to be behind the killing of a family terrier.
Police have now seized five dogs in relation to the inquiry.
Three of these are believed to be illegal Dogo Argentinos.Either someone needs to call the Guinness Book Of Records, or we've just got a classic example of why legislation is never as effective as the people who clamour for it think it's going to be.
A 29-year-old Hastings man has been bailed until June 25 on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place and possession of a fighting dog. It's rather surprising that the police took action at all, as they are very, very fond of dismissing dog-on-dog (or cat, or lamb) attacks as 'not a matter for the police'.
Perhaps they didn't want to be facing a dog that can bring down a wild boar or tree a puma when on a no-knock warrant one day?
A no knock warrant? Been watching to many US cop shows.

ReplyDeleteHaphazard punctuation is a hallmark of contemporary Plodspeak but correct spacing is optional. Hyphenation is no longer recognised and the inclusion of nonsense sentences is a mandatory requirement. Most newcomers to this language fail to spot that 'to' is always substituted for 'too'.
And he's back.Where's my translation app?
ReplyDelete"So, Just How Long Do Dogo Argentinos Live?"

Oh .. hang on, I read the title as "Dodgy Argentines" .. ;)
