Residents were greeted with the vile sight in Oakbank, Fieldway, during Saturday night after heavy rain caused flooding on the estate, something residents have claimed is a regular occurrence.Jessica Squires could not be reached for comment....

We have had several toilets explode sewage all over the rooms at my place of work.

And yes, somebody was sitting on one at the time.
Oh how I laughed!
At least one fella got his out (oo-er missus). If they'd all joined in with hoses, jetwashers and a couple of buckets of bleach...even if they just did in front of their own house and helped the odd elderly/infrim neighbour....then the streets could easily have been cleaned in a day or two.

Neither would I - remember the way inhabitants of a notorious Midlands estate reacted to a failure in water supply?
ReplyDeleteTrucks sent in with bottles of drinking water were hijacked at their first stop by a group of residents, who, disregarding any attempt at fair distribution, seized the entire contents by force.
One of the offenders later justified his actions by pointing out his family needed far more than the 26 litres they were officially allocated: "it takes six bottles every time just to flush the toilet".
I do indeed remember that - I was eagerly awaiting an encore when the hosepipe ban was announced!
