Try Hiring Traffic Wardens Who Can Read…

A Bexley Council spokeswoman said: "Parking contractor NSL wish to express sincere apologies for any inconvenience the resident has been caused in this instance.
"Having investigated this complaint with NSL, we are satisfied a genuine error led to the civil enforcement officer temporarily parking in the disabled bay to carry out enforcement. "
Hans Christian Anderson couldn't have written a better one than that…

  1. Traffic wardens that can read? Next they will be hiring nurses and police officers that can speak English!

Talking of the poxy mess, why is Ed Miliband being given a hard time to lay out his plans? Maybe so someone has a chance to jeapordise them?

Miliband cannot lay out plans until the foundations are put in place and set. You can only build on foundations. That means putting in adequate grounding for money to be available and to be spent. ie: Ed is sorting the banks first which is what is meant to happen. He is concentrating on who should be paying more, ie: people that HAVE money. There needs to be more secure available jobs for people WHICH IS WHAT HE HAS SAID!

Let's get the basics right first.

    Feral.

  2. Jerry and Wendy Crabtree, disabled or just fat.

I see it at grocery stores here in the USA. They'll have 3 or 4 mobility scooters with shopping baskets on them for disabled customers. And the only people you see using them are these incredibly obese blubber-butts.

  3. In my part of the world Traffic Wardens, Dog Wardens, etc., have hats bearing the sinister label "Civil Enforcement Officer"

This presumably means thay can do what they damn well like.

  4. The label "Civil Enforcement Officer"
surely means they can do anything they damn well like.

They used to be called "Wardens", which implied a caring sort of official, but their title now implies that they can mobilize the full force of the state to keep the population in it's place.

    Is he? By whom?

It's rather a chicken/egg situation - if genuinely disabled, exercise must be harder.

"They used to be called "Wardens", which implied a caring sort of official..."

I think everyone recognised that as a pointless title!
