Vigilantes Of No Appearance...

Annita Baid, chairwoman of the Slough North Action Project (SNAP), said she had seen large groups of men patrolling Stoke Poges Lane.
She added the group, which has worked to combat prostitution in the area for a number of years, is not part of the patrol group.
She said: "The police are keeping things very close to their chests about this. It's all been very secretive. Normal people down the shops don't seem to know who they [the vigilantes] are."
Don’t they, Annita? Don’t they really? I bet they do…
No formal complaints have yet been made to the police, however they have vowed to 'investigate thoroughly' should one be made.
That’ll be a sight to see, eh? But wait! They didn't say who they’d investigate, did they?
Councillor Fiza Matloob, for Baylis and Stoke, said: "If you live there, it's something you don't want to see.
"Patrolling is absolutely fine, but no-one wants anyone to overstep the mark."
Hmm…
An announcement was made earlier this month at the Jamia Masjid and Islamic Centre in Stoke Poges Lane to make worshippers aware of the vigilante group. Mosque trustee Mohammed Ayub said no one from the mosque was involved.
In which case, why make an announcement? Did the local church or gurdwara feel a need to make an announcement? Is there even a local church or gurdwara?

  2. Once the prostitutes have moved elsewhere are the members of "the community" going to move on to other targets? After all they'll have flexed their muscles, committed serious crimes, achieved their aim and the police seem barely interested.

I wouldn't like to be gay or Jewish (or mistaken for either) or even be a bare-headed woman walking along Stoke Poges Lane in the near future.

  3. This is utterly disgusting, not only the Islamic vigilante gang itself, although that is bad enough, but the craven and appeasing attitude of the police in attempting to cover this problem up.

Anon 16:43. Yes agree with you there. Despite Muslims whining that they are oppressed, they are too often the oppressors. 70% of the gay pubs in the East End of London have shut since the area became Islamised.

This frankly outrageously favourable treatment of the local bearded savages by the police, has the capacity to embolden those who believe that we, the non Muslims, need our own vigilantes as well. This is a recipie for civil war, well done Plod, not.

  4. I'm guessing the prostitutes are outside of the favoured age bracket then.

  5. @F211

Do you have any links to the reduction of the number of gay pubs in East London?

It would be useful ammo in an debate I am having.

  6. @Anon 19:16. No the prostitutes ask for money.

Maybe the white community should organise a counter vigilante patrol in the area but the only problem with that would be to keep the police out of it.

Sadly so, in most big cities.

"Once the prostitutes have moved elsewhere are the members of "the community" going to move on to other targets?"

Well, of course! If you fail to provide consequences, there'll be more and more of this sort of thing.

They don't seem worried about that, do they?

"I'm guessing the prostitutes are outside of the favoured age bracket then."

    Heh!

Or maybe (just maybe, mind...) the police should do the patrolling? I thought it was what we paid for?

This is the link that you may be looking for. I've also covered the issue at various times over at my place.

    What a quaint idea!

Do you actually think the extreme PC Private company that runs the police farce wouls actually allow such a thing?

  12. I'd much rather live close to a brothel than a mosque. Better class of neighbour.

  13. Dr Cromarty: Yes those Stonewall bods are very quiet when it's Muslims doing the gay-bashing. I had the misfortune to sit in a meeting with them at a Govt department, and a civil servant was trying to get them to do something about religiously inspired work related hatred towards gay staff, some of it pretty nasty, and beyond the bounds of banter, and they did precisely fuck all. I had no time for Stonewall after that. Bloody cowards and greasy pole climbers, especially during the last Labour govt.

parisclaims: Agree. Great phrase, can I borrow it for a post title. I've lived in areas with both Muslims and working girls, and the mosque-rats were by far the most disruptive.
