A 27-year-old man breached an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) the day after it was imposed by …
Ooooh, this'll be good! *gets popcorn*
… smiling and waving at staff in a shop from which he was banned.
Wait, what? You mean, he was
outside the shop?
Blackburn magistrates branded Michal Minorczyk ‘arrogant and contemptuous’ of the order and marked the breach with a ‘custodial’ sentence of less than two hours.
“This will show on your record and show any future benches how seriously we viewed the offence,” said the chairman.
What offence? He was ordered not to go in the shop. He
didn't go in the shop.
Ian Huggan, defending, said there was no suggestion of any anti-social behaviour.
“He was simply walking past Tesco when he smiled and waved at a member of staff,” said Mr Huggan.
“There was no harassment, alarm or distress but he accepts he is going to have to live within the terms of the order.”
The justice system in this country is broken. And
as The Devil points out, it's about to get even
more broken...
I am in despair.
ReplyDeleteDo you think, in my lifetime, I will ever see Britons man up?
I am deeply offended by all the offence-taking.
Where do I claim compo?
CR.
Becoming?

ReplyDeleteHonestly? No. It's been bred out of us.
Deliberately.
"Becoming?"
Good point! :(
