Oh, I Do Love A 'Good News' Story!

A petty career criminal plunged into a canal and drowned as he tried to rob two men on a city centre towpath, it is believed.
Steven Cane, 25, was rushed to hospital after falling into the Rochdale Canal, in Manchester, but died two days later.

  1. I have taken a boat through there on several occasions. The tunnel just below the top lock has always been renowned for being dodgy and harbouring ne'er do wells. I always felt thankful I was carrying a large windlass to work the locks.
