A Barnehurst supermarket customer ended up with a £1,900 bill after accidentally driving into a metal post he says shouldn’t be there.
But Colin is one of today’s modern men – he’s not embarrassed at his evident failure to look where he was going, oh, dear me, no. He’s concerned
for the laydeez…
Colin, who used to run a fish stall at Swanley market, claims the three foot removable post should be got rid of as it is covered in multi-coloured paint stains from where other drivers have come a cropper.
He said: “There are more cars that have hit it and it must have cost people a fortune. “Other people might be embarrassed – young ladies who have gone away having sustained all this damage but don’t want a row.
“If I raise it maybe these people will come forward.”
And maybe everyone will point and laugh at you & post ‘Specsavers’ leaflets through your door.
I saw this one. Can't say I have much sympathy. The same thing happened to me once years ago, I wrote it off to experience and never did it again. On the other hand, if you look at the pictures, the bollard is in a really stupid place and it is not surprising that lots of cars have scraped it. It was put there on advice taken from the local council apparently.
ReplyDeleteStonyground.
What a coincidence.....
ReplyDeleteI just had my hair cut at the barbers 3 doors up from his rear bumper.
I didn't however scrape my car though , mainly because I was walking
