O/T Many drivers are prepared to pay a one-off £300 fine against laying out as much as £2,000 every year for insurance.
Kent's police commissioner thinks it makes a lot of financial sense. Ms Barnes said "It still costs plenty in petrol to run my Mercedes convertible. And I don't see why I should always miss out on expense dodges."
Could it be that errors such as this are being caused by technology? Nowadays some word processors don't even ask you before they correct your spelling. Hence the Supermarine Spitfire comes out as Submarine Spitfire and Espace gets 'corrected' to escape.

I think over-reliance on spellcheck & the loss of proofreaders may well be helping it along.
