You Couldn’t Make It Up (And You Don’t Have To…)

Another day, another London stabbing
The victim was found with serious stab wounds lying in a service road behind the Kensal Green Safer Neighbourhood base in Harlesden at 6.30pm yesterday.
Yup. You’re correct. That is a police station!
Neighbours described the alleyway, which runs behind a number of shops, takeaways, and a pub, “crawling with police” after the fatal stabbing.
Presumably that’s so unusual as to be remarked upon. That might be a clue to why there’s been a stabbing in the first place…

  1. Who raised the alarm? How long did it take for the response? How many years since the last foot patrol in the area?

  2. How many police officers have been removed from patrol duties since the early '90's as policing has moved from Divisional polling areas, to sectors, to the present useless Safer neighbourhood team model?
How many police officers are on duty on any (London) Borough at any time of day (especially nights) today than 30 years ago when demand and population was not at today's ridiculous levels?
Both Tory, labour and Coalition governments have consistently shut and sold off the network of local police stations , many set up in the 19th Century, further removing the police from street patrol and the public.
This policing base is probably an old high street shop and probably not staffed 24/7.
Does the public really want to use online facilities and meet their officers in Costa Coffee?
Why is the government committed to a massive reduction in police numbers when not only is demand soaring but the Uk faces a growing terrorist threat?
Why does it want to move to a College of Policing which seems to be another revenue creating load of shit?
Why is the Met committed to reducing the numbers of older, white and male officers who do not 'come from within the GLA' - which is PCspeak for not being a BAME or BME or not heterosexual? WHY?
Why has successive governments consistently chosen to mollycoddle the so called 'black community' with Theresa May consistently spinning the line about the abuse of Stop & Search when since her recent instructions seem to have led to an INCREASE in black yoots stabbing/killing other black yoots?

    I'll get me coat.

    Probably not many. But enough.

Yup. And the police high command have acquiesced in that.

You say that like it's a bad thing... ;)
