Wrong Sort Of Elk, Rex….

…that’ll teach you to rely on image bank labelling:


A group of hunters thought they were great shots when they killed a couple of elk but they were really just buffoons.
It turned out the animals were actually in a zoo at the time, according to The Local.
The group somehow managed to fire through a barrier at the enclosure after their dogs tracked the elk in Norway.
‘Elk’ in Norway are moose.

  2. Elk in Norway are caribou. They look a bit like red deer to me but there will be an expert along shortly.

  3. Moose is the term in North America. Elk are (essentially) the same creature, but in Europe. Caribou (NA) are reindeer (Europe).
