This Is Why We Have A Problem With Illegal Immigration…

A footnote to the story of the Mozambique illegal immigrant who fell out of the wheel well of a jet:
A companion who stowed away with Mr Vale managed to survive the journey after being found in a “critical condition” in the plane’s undercarriage.
He is being “cared for in the community” , according the Metropolitan Police, who say they are still trying to establish his identity.
Why is he not held securely at Yarl’s Wood, awaiting deportation?

  1. 100% agree. I know people who lived here illegally for years and got citizenship as a result. Imagine if the same principle applied to driving, drive without a license for 5 years and if you don't have an accident you get a license.

  2. Surely we should have the same policy as the Australians. Arrive illegally and there is No Way you will be allowed to stay. Apply legally and follow the rules and that is very different if you have the skill set they need or you really are seeking asylum. You should not simply drop in and expect to be treated to an "ASYLUM Lotto" (tm) winner.

Another one of those things that never happen:

Slough sex assault claim by girl, 14, 'a false report'

    8 February 2016
    From the section Berkshire

Police have dropped an inquiry into claims by a 14-year-old girl that she was threatened with a knife and sexually assaulted by a group of boys.

Thames Valley Police have issued an update stating that "this was established to be a false report".

The teenager said she was walking on her own in Trelawney Avenue, Slough on Thursday evening when she was groped.

The force said the case had concluded and no action would be taken against the girl for wasting police time.

  4. Strikes me that anyone brave, hardy and enterprising enough to stow away in a wheel well, is just the sort of immigrant we could use.

  5. Red Admiral has a point. Look at these hardy and enterprising souls in Calais; think of the journeys they've made and the risks they've taken to reach the Promised Land where they intend to work hard at any old job and make a living. How about one of ours for one of theirs? One white chav for one brown immigrant?

Not overly endowed with brains or foresight though. Half a seconds research would have told him about the freezing temperatures and high death rate involved in hiding in a wheel well.

Their contempt for the law will, no doubt, make them valuable members of society.

But hasn't that been Government policy for many years now?

Christ, don't give them IDEAS...! ;)

"Surely we should have the same policy as the Australians. Arrive illegally and there is No Way you will be allowed to stay. "

    Yup! I'd back that.

"Another one of those things that never happen"

    Good spot!

That we should welcome someone who can't abide by our rules when there's something he wants? Don't we have enough of those already?
