Thousands of children were jumping for joy and after scoring in a penalty shoot-out and on bouncy castles at the Barking Learning Centre on Saturday.
Hurrah..?
Families gathered for a fun day full of activities and children entertainment (sic) to celebrate Islam Awareness Week at the Town Quay, Barking library on the day.
Oh.
Although, there was plenty of budding footballers, poet’s (sic) and animal-lovers, the main theme of the event was to remove any misconceptions surrounding Britain’s second largest faith group.
No wonder Barking and Dagenham Council is
£2.9mil in the red...
"...animal-lovers..."
ReplyDeleteI feel there's an asterisk missing there that should be explaining that dogs and pigs are omitted from that clause.
I look forward to the festivities for Christian Awareness Week, followed by Jewish Awareness Week. Then there's the Buddhists and the Scientologists, not forgetting the Jedi Knights.

I understand the "Draw a Cartoon" competition didn't go so smoothly.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be money well spent if local and national government, and the voluntary sector, staged events aimed at removing misconceptions about mohammedanism. Misconceptions such as it's a religion of peace, that it's compatible with liberal democracy, and that its practice should be tolerated in civilised countries that believe in human rights.
ReplyDeleteIslam Awareness Week could, of course, be designed to make the faithful aware of the true nature of their religion. But I am not holding my breath on that one.
ReplyDeleteI understand the Rotherham Taxi Drivers provided the music.
ReplyDeleteI understand the only problem the organisers had was where to put the Female Genital Mutilation stall. In the end they decided to cut it out altogether.

This is an appalling example fo blatant Islam promotion and appeasement in a borough where the normal non-Muslim people are suffering under an onslaught of Islam an onslaught tht is being promoted by the local Labour party. My comments on this matter here: http://www.fahrenheit211.net/2016/06/16/from-elsewhere-outrageous-islam-promotion-in-barking-essex/
ReplyDeleteIsn't there an entire city in Florida who experienced an Islam awareness week recently? Can't have been important. There weren't any bouncy castles.
ReplyDelete"...that should be explaining that dogs and pigs are omitted from that clause."
ReplyDeleteI wonder if any turned up?
"I look forward to the festivities for Christian Awareness Week, followed by Jewish Awareness Week. Then there's the Buddhists and the Scientologists, not forgetting the Jedi Knights. "
You'll wait in vain.
"I understand the Rotherham Taxi Drivers provided the music."
LOL!
"Can't have been important. There weren't any bouncy castles."
The cognitive dissonance being espoused by the media here is, as Farenheit shows, ushering in a new Dark Age.
