Dictionary For Anne Perkins, STAT!

So, yesterday's announcement by the PM seems to have set off the snowflakes extra early:

Errr, hang on....

Back to the drawing board, Anne. Still, at least you aren't member of the Shadow Cabinet Liz McInnes:

That level of self-absorption is quite some achievement.

  1. Prime Minister in 'Asking the people for a democratic mandate' coup shocker!!!!!!

How the f*ck can it be a coup if all the opposition MPs vote for an election? Or enough of them to reach the 2/3rds required?

This is just more evidence of the Left's derangement - in their minds, an election that results in a large Tory majority is not an acceptable democratic outcome, so TM asking Parliament to enable an election that may well result in a larger Tory majority is a de facto 'coup'. In their minds the only acceptable outcome of elections is victory for the Left, anything else is immoral. With every shrill scream of protest they are destroying themselves in the eyes of the voters.

To be honest all this Brexit/Trump/Le Pen etc stuff has been brilliant for this one thing alone - it has shone the light on the Left's true feelings about things, they have been exposed as not only contemptuous of their supposed voting base (calling the working class Brexit voters bigots and racists) but also as completely undemocratic authoritarians - demanding that the wish of the electorate be ignored, just because they don't agree with it.

  2. Poor, poor, Liz. Fancy having your Mum's day spoilt because of notification of an upcoming election. From now on, No election can be called on the day that someone is having their funeral. I wonder what colour the sky is in this stupid woman's world? Who, in their right mind would vote for such a cretin to form part of a government? Oh, of course, she's Labour, so that explains everything.

  3. The comments page on that article was hilarious. It was a mixture of Momentum window lickers frothing at the injustice of it all and rejoicing at comnrade Corbyn's impending coronation, combined with people who were basically referring to Perkins as a complete f**king moron.

  4. I wonder what will happen if the Tories win? Will the sad lefties demand a second vote in case "they didn't know what they voted for" or "they have changed their minds".

  5. I can't help but feel that being dead ruins the day more than any electoral announcement.

Are there really people who look forward to funerals? Even funeral directors do not, and they make money on them.

  6. Well, Woman on a Raft, I'm looking forward to my funeral simply on the grounds that at the age of 67, I've decided that I'm going to have the wake before I pop my clogs. I'm not forking out for a horde of freeloaders to get pissed at my expense if I can't join them. So there!

  7. "This is just more evidence of the Left's derangement..."

Indeed so. And it's not like we needed any, is it?

"From now on, No election can be called on the day that someone is having their funeral."

We should institute that ruling. On June 9th. ;)

"I'm looking forward to my funeral simply on the grounds that at the age of 67, I've decided that I'm going to have the wake before I pop my clogs. "

    Now that's forward planning! :)
