...and not necessarily to use on just the aggressive
dog, either:
She added: "People do say once a dog gets a taste of blood it triggers something inside, so it scares me that this owner is still walking his dog in public.
Every dog has a mouth and it is quite a vicious weapon."
She continued: "I was screaming – the only thing the man did was put his hand on his forehead, not a word came out of his mouth.
Elizabeth said Chopper could not be saved and she took him to the vets to be put down.
Perhaps if the owners of these four-legged weapons felt physically at risk themselves, it might go some way to alleviating the problem...
She believed the dog that attacked Chopper should be put down.
"I don't think that man should be allowed to keep a pet," she said.
She also said she has passed on the name of the pet owner to the police after having tracked him down on Facebook.
Might as well whistle in the dark as expect the police to do anything, love.

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean, JuliaM. Our local supermarket used to have one of those plywood cut-out policemen on duty, but he wooden listen to complaints.
Top form today Melvin. Even more boring, prejudice, repetitive, pompous and arrogant than ever. Had an extra pudding in the mental home for energy?
ReplyDeleteThere's two anti-police posts on here today so quickly scroll up and cut and paste your rubbish onto that one as well.
Jaded.

ReplyDeleteFar be it from me to defend the Police (although I seem to do that more frequently than I used...perhaps living in a world where kids think it is ok to steal mopeds by throwing acid in people's faces or followers of the Religion of Peace walk into supermarkets and randomly knife people) but seriously, Jools, what could one expect the police to do in this case? She claims his husky attacked her dog. Of course the bloody husky should have been muzzled and on a leash but any dog owner who doesn't know that by now is probably beyond the reach of a police officer's 'quiet word'. Chis don't know they are the size of a small rat and if it was a male chi he was almost certainly defending his pregnant mistress so went for the large wolf who was merrily walking by minding his own business. IME it is often the small excuse for a dog that goes for the larger one not the other way around. As dear old Wiki says of Chis: "The breed tends to be fiercely loyal to one particular person and in some cases may become over protective of the person, especially around other people or animals"

You've posted that a lot lately?

Their job?

The difference between the relative sets of teeth involved tells you why that's not such a problem.
