Cheshire Police have confirmed that a decision was made in August to take no further action against the owner as the dog is not a banned breed and there was insufficient evidence.
The case will be reopened if more evidence comes to light or if there are reports of any further attacks.Let's hope that next attack isn't fatal, eh? But I'm sure the police are right, and it's just a case of 'he said, she said' with no witne....
Oh.
“The only reason my dog and I were not more seriously injured was due to a lovely lady stopping in her car and offering to pick us up and drive us away from a very dangerous scenario,” said Kevin, who spoke of his disappointed that the police have not filed charges against the owner of the Rottweiler. That rather changes things, doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteI really don't think so. Until a witness comes forward who is A) Willing to make a statement. B) Willing to attend court. C) The CPS decide to run the case, it isn't going anywhere.
FYI I am really starting to lose patience with dog owners, whether it be the owners of the 45 kilo 'brain on a chain ego extension shit machine' or the yappy rat dogs. I would say the only type of dogs I have had to apply a boot in the slats to have been Jack Russell type creatures.
Nasty little things.
BTW any future fault lies entirely with the owner of the Rottweiler. No one else.
