When I was at my atrocious comprehensive school in the 70s, being utterly incompetent at English was seen as a sign of possible retardation and earned a transfer to the remedial department. Now it seems such pupils easily accumulate all the worthless certificates available, including the ubiquitous 2:1, and are welcomed into any profession that will take them. Ah, progress.

"Well, It's Definitely A Tank" - no, it's not a Tank; looks like a Self-propelled artillery armoured vehicle.
"...and are welcomed into any profession that will take them. "
