Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Packer, who is leading the murder investigation, urged partygoers to contact Scotland Yard.
He said: “Our enquiries so far have established there was a large group of young people from east and south London who attended this party and I need to trace as many people as possible to piece together the events that led to this murder.
“The stabbing occurred in the street and would have been clearly visible to passers-by and residents who may have been disturbed by the noise of the fight.
“This was a brutal attack that has taken a man’s life and I am urging anyone with information to come forward and speak to police.”Yes, it's terrible when the public won't co-operate and refuse to tell the police anyth...
Oh! Hang on!
Describing the party, a neighbour, 34, said: “It was crazy. We were telling police that it was getting worse but they said they couldn’t do anything as it was a private event.
“They were playing grime music so loud and the crowd was getting more boisterous. They were swarming like bees. They all found out about it on social media.
“There were hundreds of kids waiting outside like a West End nightclub. It should’ve been shut down earlier.
There were scuffles everywhere. They were so many people rowing they were scattering in all directions.”Ah, if only the police had turned up then, there might not have been a murder, and they could have spent their time doing what they prefer, chasing people for Facebook comments instead...
"Young people." Ah, I see.

ReplyDelete...or chasing motorists for 'exceeding the speed limit' by 1 mph.
Snide Facebook comment, WC Jaded? Most of us are familiar with this elucidation of idle plod and only one of their own lazies would proffer a disgruntled response to such truth.
ReplyDeletePlease post on here if you've ever been prosecuted for driving at 31 in a 30. Tumbleweed. ....

Re: Jaded Tumbleweed.
ReplyDeleteExperienced motorists know full well that uniformed pirates have ways to exaggerate real speeds (and parking times) using notoriously fallible equipment; manual trickery and deceit (see Youtube - Dr Michael Clark and associated BBC programmes). Cops have long been emptying the pockets of motorists but they profit most when bagging the minor 'offenders'. Travellers and uninsured boy racers are not a good source of profit and are left alone for that reason. Hard working motorists, who can be stitched up and milked for allegations of driving no faster than the limit +8 mph, are the targets. An allegations of driving at 35 mph for two seconds almost inevitably results in plod pressuring the driver to opt for their £250 'Awareness' course rather than face CPS prosecution. It's Hobson's choice for most hard working motorists and the £250 ends up in plod pockets. Weren't you out this morning, fixing up unsuspecting citizens with your laser, Jaded?
You wouldn't know the truth of it bit you on the arse Melvin. You post on here as a self proclaimed policing expert when really you are a sad loser with an axe to grind.

ReplyDeleteSadly, you can't. Because the police seem to spend all their time on the Internet these days, and none on the streets.
Julia, once again you spoil your blog with sweeping generalisations about my job. I'm sure you're playing to the crowd (idiots like Melvin etc) but really.....
