Only In Liverpool....

No, not to the dead guy, that'd be stupid!
He said he told their mutual friend Kevin Riley "sorry", after unintentionally shooting Mr Atkins in the stomach , at around 2am.
Asked how he showed his remorse, he said: "What do you want me to do? Buy him a box of Milk Tray to say I'm sorry?"
Loverbale scallies, all!
Under questioning by Nicholas Johnson, QC, defending, Ball accepted he was a heroin, cocaine and alcohol addict.
His criminal record - starting at the age of 12 - includes assault, thefts, going equipped for burglary, robbery and drug offences.
Ball said he was with Mr Riley on May 5 and took around 10 Pregabalin painkillers, prescribed for nerve damage after he was hit by a car.
He said he also had up to 50 of Mr Riley's diazepam tablets, before they were joined by Mr Atkins, and CCTV showed them shoplifting.
I feel there's no loss of human life her at all...

  1. Ball shot Atkins in the course of a row. This was plain and simple murder. Ball should hang* if there was any justice in the world, and that would rid the world of a second scumbag.

Incidentally, one should only point a lethal weapon at someone you intend to kill, so this was blatantly intentional.

*In public, for preference. I'd settle for beheading (where's ISIS when you need them?). lethal injection, electric chair, or any other method that would send lefties off to piss their pants.

Or you could wall them up in Bootle. That would teach 'em!

  3. It sounds like they'd all had a grand day out. This reply to the prosecuting barrister tickled me:

"He said: "Have you ever had about 50 diazepam and 10 cans of Stella down you eh? I could just about walk.""

I've certainly drunk well in excess of that amount on various evenings out, though diazepam really isn't my thing. However I've generally just staggered around a bit telling my mates I loved them. Drinking to excess like that doesn't change character. It reveals it.

  4. @ Penseivat - Bootle? That in itself is 'cruel & unusual punishment', surely.

  5. "...if there was any justice in the world..."

Yeah, sadly, that 'if' is the crux here.

"Drinking to excess like that doesn't change character. It reveals it."

    Spot on!
