What passing bells for these who die as cattle?
Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,
The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
It's swaggering, high-handed and way over Time To Forget.
ReplyDeleteIs that you, Polly?

Melvin, it s because these people were willing to risk their lives that enables you to be the TWAT you are.
ReplyDeleteWatched the Cenotaph ceremony on tv (on catchup as attending local ceremony) and felt that Johnson was a disgrace in the way he was dressed. He couldn't even fasten his jacket and overcoat, looking like some fat bloke leaving a pub.
ReplyDeleteThere was a rumour that Corbyn's wreath was dedicated to the dead of Hamas, PLO and IRA.

Were you only disposed towards shooting unarmed women and children? I smell crude, uneducated coward, johnd2008.
ReplyDeleteNowadays, you probably wear another detested uniform. A food-stained one. And I can readily picture your oversized gut smudging drivers' doors whilst that shameless mouth solicits bribes.
MTG - As a (fairly) caring person, I do worry about you. Your life must have been awful to warrant the torrent of bitter bile which you spew on a regular basis. I hope things improve soon for you.
ReplyDeleteMTG jumping the shark yet again. In his warped mind anyone that dares to disagree with him is a police officer. I'm almost embarrassed for him. Almost but not quite.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Teddy. How could I ever have thought of you as yet another virtue-signalling, poseur. Your magnanimity and probity require no testing but wait...
You did rather hit the nail on the head regarding my 'awful life'. Until a decade ago, my Winters were the absolute pits, forcing me to find 'solar solace' in the remote Canaries. But this year there will be no cheap, £40 Ryanair flight. No, Sir...the trek involves four horrendous Ferry crossings and road tolls from Santander to Cadiz! Have you any idea how your buttocks feel after driving continuously on the unforgiving suspension of a Porsche 911 Carrera? If that doesn't depress you, the petrol costs will deflate your big heart and swollen wallet.
Now, in terms of virtuous feelings for your euros (not that I am suggesting such would be your motive) little else could compare to sponsoring my trek. It would ameliorate my harrowing life and keep a broad smile on my face until March 2020. Card, Bank transfer or Western Union?...many thanks for being a caring person, Teddy boy.
Melvin, I am old enough to have lived through the war and can remember quite clearly being carried to the air raid shelter to spend the night listening to the explosions. My father was an auxiliary fireman and having spent the night at risk from falling bombs and shrapnel, still had to go to do a full days work. I can also clearly remember the Telegraph boy cycling up the street and watching to see whose house would be receiving the news no none wanted to receive. My next door neighbours two sons were called up. Both returned home but the younger one spent the rest of his shortened life in the local Mental Hospital having been caught in a shell blast. You and your attitude is beneath contempt. I feel sorry for you and cannot imagine what has caused you to have such an uncharitable outlook on life.
ReplyDeleteTed and John 2008,
ReplyDeleteFor quite some time I was on the receiving end of Melvin's foul bile - possibly because I was a front line Police officer for many years. Any comments I made resulted in accusations and insults, and any attempt to discuss his comments resulted in even more insults. Now, I don't feed the troll by refusing to reply to him, but leave him to sit in his squalid little room, masturbating furiously at the responses he gets from others. Perhaps if everyone does the same and ignored him, he may give up as he will have nothing to masturbate over.

@ Penise
ReplyDeleteIt's standard police tactic to discredit their critics. You have repeatedly posted variations of your crude comment, mostly anonymously and with some vain hope of harming your targets.
It was probably influential in your early retirement, to have been diagnosed with an adult intimacy disorder made more problematic as a result of the accompanying delusional disorder.
@Penseivat,
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean.
Hopefully it's medication day for him today.

ReplyDeleteSeriously, MTG? Your police baiting not getting you enough attention? *rolls eyes*

Every silver lining has that cloud, eh?

At least he genuinely loves his country. Can't say that for the opposition, no matter how they dress...
