Daenerys Targaryen Could Not Be Reached For Comment...

A police force has angered officers by warning that they may face consequences if they decline to...
Arrest wrongdoers without fear or favour?

No, of course not. Remember what century you're living in.
...‘take the knee’ at anti-racism protests.
From whom? Their bosses? Well, no:
Hertfordshire Constabulary said those who chose not to make the solidarity gesture ‘may become the focus of the protesters’ attention’.
Ah, Hertfordshire, the scourge of suspected scrumpers, and terror of legal game shooters.

It's really no surprise, then, is it? This is the farce that lacks the balls to avoid wasting their own time on trivial complaints, after all...
The advice was issued during a recent operational briefing and points out that, when officers kneel down – joining in the symbolic stance of the Black Lives Matter movement – it ‘has a very positive reaction on the protest groups’.
And a very negative reaction from the rest of the taxpaying population, but why should they care about that?

  1. I can envisage a blogger sniggering into her face mask at the idea but it's harder to believe it would ever occur to plod to piss down our backs and tell us it was raining.

  2. Indeed that is so. I find this genuflecting to the mob quite outrageous. It is simply wrong for a police officer on duty to display a political bias. These BLM protesters need to all be arrested and in my view locked up. They are breaking the law and by congregating as they do, are placing innocent lives at risk of a mostly harmless virus. But don't tell anyone.

  3. You don't kneel down in front of a baying mob. They will see this only as an act of supplication rather than lactation, and goodwill only take advantage of this weakness.
"You knelt down before us, so why are you arresting me for setting fire to this building. Just proves you're racist."
As a (now retired, thank goodness) front line Police officer, I find it hard to believe that a senior officer would suggest such a thing.
It has been suggested that whoever is organising and paying for these riots (they are NOT demonstrations), has already bought the media, especially the BBC, Channel 4, Sky news and, possibly, a large part of the judiciary. Perhaps some of the higher echelons of the various Police forces have also been infiltrated by Common Purpose?
Forget the Ten Commandments. The contents of the Frankfurt School of Thought, of which many have already been enshrined in law or accepted by society as normal, is the new 'live by' list.

  5. If only the police were more empathetic with rapist, thieves, violent thugs and murderers I am sure they would get a nicer reaction from them well. Why am I paying ever more taxes to fund this ridiculous police system that does nothing for me?

  6. Anon 13:41 You are paying so much tax towards the police as Rainbow painted police cars, hiding certain rape gangs and training sessions on how to kneel to a mob don't come cheap.

  7. I think it's a good plan for the police to kneel to diffuse the situation. If they don't kneel then the mob would start even more violence and continue justifying that the police are racist. In turn further rioting would continue rather than putting a stop to the protests. So I think it's a good idea overall. The people protesting seem to be stating that this country is racist. This country is not racist. Sure, racism exists but it comes from all walks of life not just from whites. In this country you can protest. Try doing that in some other countries. It would be the death penalty. It appears that certain individuals want to be superior to others. That's what all this is about. No one is above anyone. You live. You die. You should just try to do the best you can in between. If it means bending a knee to avert trouble then what's the harm?

  8. The harm is that this is a political matter. There are people who agree with the BLM protests and there are those who disagree. It is absolutely essential in a free society for the police to be, and be seen to be, neutral and to treat all law breakers equally with no regard to their political opinions. They can practice politics when they are off duty. That they were doing so when in uniform and on duty is utterly disgraceful.

  9. Feral, You can't give ground for ever in the face of law breakers, they will continue to push the boundaries and escalate their criminal behaviour up to the point that you stop them. If the police don't stop them eventually people turn to self help and all the horrors that brings.

  10. @Feral,
Attempts at appeasement may work in certain circumstances, but not in front of a mob. To them, that will mean you agree with them, allowing them to do what they want, or they will see it as a weakness of supplication - " I bent my knee to you, please don't hurt me".
Experience of dealing with riots in Singapore, Aden and Northern Ireland have shown that a mob will be reluctant to deal with a show of force. However, to try and resolve the situation, don't look at the acceptable casualties at the front, but look for those at the back, coordinating and controlling the riots. The ones who are controlling the disturbance. The ones who may know who the organisers and paymasters are.
The problem is of the politicians, judiciary, media and senior Police officers who are in the pay of the same riot organisers, who wanted a Labour government in the UK and a Democrat government in the USA - governments they can control. It will take truly independent investigators following the money, and looking at the source of the funds, to begin to bring these disturbances to an end.

Doesn't count and you know why.

  13. I thought my post might get a few comments.
You are of course all correct however, this country (never mind the police) is on its knees due to the coronavirus. If the police do not attempt to quell a mob out for blood the results could be catastrophic. Lives and further livelihoods would be lost. It may look like the police are weak, but at the moment this country is weak. If we end up with burning buildings and rampant crime then Boris and co could quite possibly be turfed out of number 10. This could lead to the left getting in and of course this is what the riot organisers want. As you say, to control the government. Then they win. With the police kneeling they can placate the majority. After all, prevention is better than violence.

  14. Plod are lead by SJWs that are so dumb that they don't relise that their supporters tend to lean right while the ferals tend to lean left. Kneeling doesn't make the left like them any more. they would rather kill them and in the meantime they piss the right off so much that when the sh1t hits the fan they will be on their own. And I'm now at the stage myself where I just don't care. I wouldn't help plod now. Fuck em they have shown by their actions that they are my enemy. Civil disturbances are inevitable.

  15. Lord T. You are correct in your assessment of the falsity of the assumption by senior police management that pandering to Leftists will make the Leftists like them. It's a similar mistake that has been made by the Tory party which has fawned and pandered over Leftist causes in order to get the Leftists to like them. It is plain to see that this has not worked, the Left still bang on about 'evil Tories' etc despite the pandering,in other words the Tories caved but are still hated.

As for the police pissing people off I'd go further than what you say. The plod are not just pissing off the right or social conservatives, but many more people who are not particularly political but who are outside of the Left. I think the kneeling stuff and the obviously blatant double standard as to how the BLM/Marxists were policed and how the recent Patriot demo was policed has been the final straw for many ordinary Joes. This attitude of being completely pissed off with plod and their bias and politicisation has been building for a while now. The pot has come to the boil incrementally with anger at the expensive and embarrassing pandering to LGBT's at Pride events, the failure to tackle the Islamic Rape Gang problem, the 'hate speech' arrests of which there were 3500 in 2016 alone and the intimidatory 'visits' that people have had for saying things like 'there are only two genders'.

The sight of kneeling appeasing plod in the face of a dangerous mob has for many people been the big trigger point. My own experience with the police following my 'hate speech' arrest last year is pushing me into the camp of thinking that if I see a cop in trouble then I'm not going to be arsed to help them out on the grounds that helping them may end up a) turning out bad for me and b) why should I help those who seem to have forgotten that 'only following orders' is not a valid defence. If I can feel like that as a person who used to work closely with police when I was a newspaper worker and a person who once freelanced for Police Review magazine, then how much more angry and pissed off are other ordinary Brits who may have more reason than me to dislike the police and what they've become?

  16. Fahrenheit221, if you didn't hear it Google BBC The Life Scientific June 16th 2020.

Half hour with bad boy turned academic adviser to the police on how to stop protestors turning violent. All about soft uniforms and mingling with crowd to form relationships yada yada

  18. "It is simply wrong for a police officer on duty to display a political bias."

These days, it's only the 'wrong' political bias that draws the ire of the shiny trousered mob...

"It has been suggested that whoever is organising and paying for these riots (they are NOT demonstrations), has already bought the media..."

"One cannot hope to bribe or twist, thank god, the British journalist. But seeing what the man will do unbribed, there's no occasion to..."

"I think it's a good plan for the police to kneel to diffuse the situation."

And, a week or so later, how'd that work out for them? Not so well, eh?

"...this country (never mind the police) is on its knees due to the coronavirus."

To be more accurate, it's on its knees due to the reaction to it.

"This attitude of being completely pissed off with plod and their bias and politicisation has been building for a while now."

And I can't see any way of turning the tide.
