Via James yesterday evening, some very unexpected and sad news. 

Another of the greats is gone, and once again, my blogroll is missing a sturdy bulwark against insanity.

    I felt a chill when he hadn't posted since last month. Sad to hear my fears realised as another sound voice falls silent. Ave atque Vale Ræders, surf to your rest on a rolling wave of fine booze - and spend eternity drinking it, smoking and making things...
