"without any intellectual content" extends to our schools now I suspect, at the risk of getting into an etymological debate on a Sunday morning, I was fascinated by a missive from two "headteachers" (they come in pairs in Sussex, apparently, must be a dangerous place) in the following article:
SCHOOL RUMP Primary warns parents not to wear ‘skimpy’ short skirts on the school run https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14404944/primary-warns-parents-short-skirts-school-run/?utm_source=spotim&utm_medium=spotim_conversation
Co-headteachers Carol Collins and Emma Eardley said: “Whilst well intended as guidance, the school acknowledges the wording could have been less prescriptive.”
Surely "proscripitve ?
As adjectives the difference between proscriptive and prescriptive. is that proscriptive is proscribing or prohibiting, for example as according to a norm or standard while prescriptive is of or pertaining to prescribing or enjoining, especially an action or behavior based on a norm or standard.
"Lots of knee-jerking without any intellectual content - wokery to a "T"."
